How to: Manage styles in Word 7.0 using the Organizer.
Solution:
Select 'Style...' from the 'Format' menu and choose 'Organizer...'.
NOTE: The 'Organizer' is used to easily copy customized features from one document or template to another, without having to re-select each style feature.
1) Copy a style from one document:
a) Open any document in Word 7.0
b) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Style...'. (The 'Style' dialog box appears.)
c) Click 'Organizer...'. (The 'Organizer' dialog box appears.)
d) Click 'Close File...'. (The button label changes to 'Open File'.)
e) Click 'Open File...'. (The 'Open' File dialog box appears.)
f) Select the file from which to copy styles from the 'File Name' drop-down list box.
g) Click 'Open'. (The 'Organizer' dialog box reappears.)
h) Select the section from which to copy the style (such as 'Title') from the 'To <filename>' box (where <filename> is the name of the file from which the style is being copied).
i) Click 'Copy'.
j) Click 'Close'.
2) Apply the copied style to another document:
a) Open the document to which to copy the style.
b) Press CTRL+HOME to move to the top of the open document to which to copy the style.
c) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'Style...'. (The Style dialog box appears.)
d) Select the section to which to copy the style (such as 'Title') from the 'Styles' list box. (The specific section (such as title) in the current document takes on the copied style.)
3) Save the document to which the style was applied.
4) Close the document.
